Visa Requirements for Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan offers e-visa for citizens of over 90 countries, including the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and many others. The online application through evisa.gov.az requires a valid passport, passport photograph, travel dates, accommodation details, and visa fee payment. E-visas are processed within 3 business days and allow single or multiple entries for stays of 30 days. Some nationalities enjoy visa-free entry for short stays. Traditional visa applications through embassies remain available for those not eligible for e-visa or requiring longer stays for work, study, or residence. Visa on arrival is no longer available; advance e-visa required.

Valid for academic year duration; renewable annually with continued enrollment.

For enrollment in Azerbaijani universities or educational institutions with acceptance letter.

Important Travel Information

Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended departure from Azerbaijan with blank pages for stamps.

E-visa must be printed and presented at port of entry. Keep printed and digital copies during your stay.

Registration with State Migration Service required within 15 days of arrival for stays exceeding 15 days. Hotels handle registration automatically.
