All official trade and export promotion activities have ceased. The German government and the EU have suspended development aid and do not have formal economic relations with the Taliban regime. The basis for bilateral trade is virtually non-existent.

There are no investment opportunities in Afghanistan at present. The country is facing a severe humanitarian crisis, and its economy has collapsed. The embassy does not provide any information on investment.

The embassy cannot provide any support for business activities. The economic situation in Afghanistan is catastrophic, and the security risks and lack of a stable legal framework make any form of business unfeasible.

All cultural and educational programs have been suspended. The focus of the Afghan diaspora and its representatives is on the humanitarian situation and the preservation of Afghan culture in exile.
